What Is Semantic Gap Analysis?

Semantic gap analysis compares your content coverage against competitors to identify:

  • Missing topics: Subjects competitors rank for that you haven't covered
  • Thin coverage: Topics you've touched but not deeply enough
  • Unique strengths: Topics where you outperform competitors

Running the Analysis

  1. Go to Semantic Gap in your project
  2. Ensure at least 2-3 competitors are configured
  3. Click Run Analysis
  4. The AI compares keyword profiles and content themes

Interpreting Results

Gap Score: 0-100 indicating how much content ground you're missing

  • 0-30: Strong coverage, few gaps
  • 30-60: Moderate gaps, targeted content needed
  • 60-100: Significant gaps, major content investment needed

Gap Categories:

  • High priority: High-volume topics all competitors cover
  • Medium priority: Topics some competitors cover
  • Low priority: Niche topics with lower volume

Taking Action

For each gap:

  • Click Create Opportunity to add it to your pipeline
  • Click Generate Content Plan for an AI-generated outline
  • Review suggested keywords and content angles
